ISO 26000

International Social Responsibility Standard

ISO 26000 (International Organization for Standardization) is a norm that establishes the guidelines on social responsibility through a broad scope that incorporates the social, environmental and economic dimensions of sustainable development involving issues on consumer rights, fair trade, human and labor rights, combating all kinds of discrimination, protecting vulnerable populations and relationships with communities. In view of differentiated visions and questionable practices, this norm, by its content and methodology of construction, can be a reference for the definition of policies and practices of companies and organizations in relation to social responsibility.
